Lisa Lee, Monster Maker

I've had many jobs. Forklift driver, mental health worker, project manager, and  currently an apprenticing Leathersmith.

Formally I made sock monsters and worked at various psychiatric facilities in Vancouver Canada. Then I met a Leathersmith and it all changed. Monster making is my favourite job yet!

Colin Mayhew, Leathersmith, Designer, Rigger and Quality Control at LeatherMonsters

When he's not head rigging for TED talks or Katy Perry concerts, Colin can be found in his studio working on projects for films and bespoke leather goods for companies nation wide (he has a laser!). I am so lucky to have him design and pattern at Leather Monsters - he is also the original squish, hug, and shake about "quality control" officer here at headquarters.

Carrot, current favourite

There is always a monster in the studio and available in the shop that is MY Favourite - right now it's Carrot. Always one monster I hope never sells so they will stay with me forever. When said favourite sells I am sad and excited at the same time. I will miss them but I am so happy they are going to make someone so gleeful and loved. Then I get back to making and in a few days or a week at the most a new favourite is born.. But Carrot will never sell-- this ones gonna stay I just know it!
